Bikes and Scooters

Today Jack decided he wanted to take off his training wheels and give his bike try with only two wheels. After about 15 minutes, a few falls, and a determined attitude, HE DID IT!! He just turned four, 5 days ago. Jack learningto ride a bikeLily, who we have been begging to take off her training wheels since last summer, decided she could not let her 2 year younger brother out do her, decided to give it a try too. Her bike broke late last year, so she had to try it out on Jack's bike. One minute later she was off. Literally, it took her one minute and no falls....yet. I guess if you wait long enough, things become easy. Lily learning to ride a bikeWe are so proud of the two of them. I guess we need to buy Lily her own bike so that she doesn't have her knees to her ears. Cole gave it a try, but after a minute or two he decided it wasn't as fun as his new Razor scooter , which he is very good at. Maybe in the summer. Kids on scooter

That's pretty amazing that they learned so fast! We want to get Breckon a bike, but we might have to come over to your neighborhood to teach him to ride!!!

Your blog is so cute! I wish I could have come to the activity where you taught everyone how to create one, but I was out of town! Can you blame me for leaving? Looks like more sunshine coming this way though!

Cute kids, what fun pictures. The one of Jack on the ground is priceless. We love riding bikes at our house. It's fun when they master it. Way to go!

SO big! I can't believe your boys are that old. I am sure watching their dad on his bike is a big motivator. Sibling rivalry can be some good motivation too, we try to use that in our favor whenever we can!

Hey there! To answer you question.... our race was supposed to be this past Saturday, but they postponed it due to weather. There were over 1700 people registered... and the cancelled the marathon, and postponed the half, and 5K. There was supposed to be 6-12 inches of snow, and high winds... but there only ended up being about an inch of snow. It would have not been fun though. We will run it this Saturday. I'll be sure to post about it! When is your race??

Your kiddos look adorable riding their bikes. Can't believe they are almost ALL old enough to be bike riders! Probably feels good to get past the diaper/baby-proofing stage. :) Coop learned on his 5th birthday... cause he said he would do it when he turned 5, and I held him to it. :)
